A couple of days ago I had this idea "How is it going with.. Jacco and the crew!
FYI, Jacco and the crew is a group of friends in Holland, where Jacco was the lead singer of a band .. when I met them it was called "Riptide".
Anyways, I went to some gigs of the crew and we got to know eachother through mutual friends, also followed and went to the F1 with the crew, and see each other on birthday parties, we even tried to play tennis once in a while etc etc.. great times.. really, fantastic times.
Anyways, when I thought of the group, and wondered how they were doing... so I googled to see what the band was doing.
To be honest the hits came on the guitarist name "Tjalling", whom I also shared some LANparties with in those days, a big F1 fan too... But the band name was new to me that google came up with.. "MAY", if you please ! lol

Fantastic new site on MAYBAND.com, a band of four, as I only know Jacco and Tjalling (far left Jacco and far right Tjalling).. but the moment I was on the site, I thought hey.. they are doing their own work now!! as previous in the other bands, they did awesome covers from U2, Oasis, Madness.. etc etc.. great stuff.

Wow their own work.. thats superb, as I know that Jacco always wanted to do own work productions. They started the band May very recently I think as most dates on the site are very fresh.. but MAY already won the Big Prize of Access Live (dutch sorry) this september, as this is a prize awarded to new and upcomming LIVE bands.
As the agenda of May is getting fully booked, I just shared an e-mail with Jacco, as I posted in the guestbook on the site. They had a Radio broadcast recently where they played live in the studio from SchagenFM (funny this site is made and hosted by "Windkracht" - see my affiliates - go Koen en Michael).
!If all goes well, I get the broadcast of that session in mp3, and when i do I will share it.. as I got an e-mail from the host of the show "Eldorado" on SchagenFM Peter, that he wanted to tape it for me so I could listen to it too, after he read that somebody from Australia was cheering for the guys.. whoa how good is that! !!

Cant wait to hear the broadcast, I will share it like a PodCast guys., if youwant!? :)

Beware the recordings are a single mic take, so its very very raw.., but you'll get a general idea on the sound they produce anyway!
