Ive created a logo to support duijnunder, as I'm working on a new Portfolio.
The basic idea was the D and the U swoosh, set into a happy hopefully creative personality. This is the plain bare-bone and newly set colour scheme but the future will definitely push me to throw some depth and 3d-ish glassy type 'Per-style' on it, don't you worry.
I havent set a proper font to it tho.. that will came later.

A couple of weeks ago, I sneaked late onto the golf course just around the corner from were I live to play a couple of holes just before dark. It had rained heavily before and I had the place complete to myself...

trurtle1.jpg

I noticed this turtle in the bunker stretching the neck every couple of seconds. When I walked around, the turtle kept doing her thing.. ok ok.. this was finally an animal that doesnt really take off when you approach, but this time it had another reason to stay, as the turtle was laying her eggs in the side of the bunker while I was there..

trurtle2.jpg

I watched a little while, hearing the little white eggs plop into the nest, and decided to let the turtle do her job in some peace :)

Some very interesting wild life experience I must say..

Last saturday I did the harbour bridge climb! YAY!
I got a ticket from Brendan and Nicole.. thanks heaps guys!
It was an absolute brilliant experience, and very happy ive checked this one of my wish list.

Getting photo's later, sharing some with Judy (mother of Brendan).. Unfortunately at the bridge climb they think its good to charge 65 dollar for 4 additional digital pictures on a CD.. hmmpff.. some1 has to tell them that it can be a bit more cheaper and more people will buy it, and more people would be happier at the end.. grrr.. what a rip-off

Thanks again Brendan and Nicole that was a brilliant day and experience you gave me!

This weekend we had Damo's Bucks Party, as the poor dude is going to get married soon if this party hasn't brought him to other thoughts lol

damobucksdamo.jpg

With an awesome crew we went up the central coast, and camped near the beach... besides the Dingo's who stole our snacks (sausages) for brekkie (breakfast), and seeing some1 catching Sharks!!! We played some footy on the beach, watched the footy on generator powered tv in the sand dunes with a bunch of surf dudes, had massive barbie
(bbq), and drunk 300$ of booz with 8 ppl.
Not a bad weekend I must say.. pff, this one is going to be long long talked about.. YAY

Watch some other photo's of the weekend - HERE -

happy 2007 everyone !!

Its save to say 2007 is here and for you people on the otherside of the globe, its a fact... and comming your way very soon!

Just got back from the city, and again watched the fireworks near the operahouse and the harbour-bridge here in Sydney. Before that we watched the fireworks at 9 oclock in darling harbour. Ally and I took 12 y/o Lauren (Scotts (brother Ally) daugter) to this must see with own eyes shift in years. It was a bit to crowded this year but nonetheless it still is a great experience.
I got interviewed by an ABC lady, so maybe i'll have my 15 seconds of fame in Australia soon.. :)

Fingers crossed now, with a slight *cough* delay from my part I send off my permanent resident visa application to the Australian Immigration Office!
I should have taken a copy of my previous entry for temp/spouse Visa that went to Berlin. That would have saved me a lot of hassle and puzzling out dates and times of whereabouts again.
I didnt want to ask my parents yet to dig into my pile of boxes and other leftbehinds on their attic to find the copies, so I had to put in some estimates.. hope it'll be alright.
This next step in the visa application, is all about proving the relationship still exists, and if i have been a good boy here in Australia!
Cassa (Ally's sister), and Gwen (Ally's mum) were kind enough to be my references. My friend Wayne was kind enough to be a reference too, but thought it would be better to have people who know both sides of the story.... lol
Hopefully everything can be processed in one go, without to many problems!

Whoa, I've made it.. one full year no smoking! Ok ok.. my weight is a bit up.. (almost 15kg lol), but feel so much better for it!

Things taste better, I feel a lot better during basketball (every Thursday), and no more running out the house in panic cuz almost no siggies..
My biggest fear was, what would I do with my hands if I dont smoke.. I mean smoking gave me a posture, an activity during converstions etc. Now that was the biggest surprise, I never think about that in those situations..

Finally im on the other side, and can smell how smokers have this smelly smoke cloud around them even when they dont have a siggie.
Going out is also no problem, its even better i think as I can hold my alcohol better plus I dont feel so lame in them mornings, sure when you go overboard drinking still get the headache etc, but still its less foggy.

Still some times I get the urge, but then I easily can control with "But I dont smoke anymore,.. YAY" !
That deserves a drink ! lol hmmpff..

A day at the races ;)

Ally and some of her workfriends had tickets to the members area for last Franklins (supermarket) Rosehill Race Day (Horse Races to be clear).
So we all got dressed up on our finest ;), that means full suit and tie, and with all gala dress and hats etc.
First it was a fine 37 degree day.. grrr, I mean nice but not so nice when you are in full suit. Second was on our way when we took the turn to the racecourse a cab in front of us started smoking and within a couple of seconds the car was fully lit. The cab driver came out fine and he had no passengers.
carfire.jpg
Third, you can only go to the member area when you are with a member, and not when you know people that already have a ticket to the member area.. lol, little hiccup.. so we almost had to sit with the "normal" people.. lol, not to be a snob but more the fact that the "normal" people had t-shirts and shorts on.... and we are fully dressed up, on this hot day.. so then it would be like being jealous about the "normal" people.. if you catch my drift.
Ally decided to sweettalk the security guard at the gate, and that worked.. he waited till a big chunk of also fully dressed up ppl went through, called us over and let us through with his pass.. with a little message if you run into problems just mention Security Officer John at the gate let you in :)
rosehill2.jpg
The races were good, its basicly getting pissed in a fancy environment and bet on some pony's, and feel like jetset for half a day. :)
We didnt bet much, as we lost all races.. on the last race I got 8$ back from the 50$ or so spend.. hooyah.. lol
rosehill1.jpg
As we were leaving me and Ally's female colleagues wanted to have another drink somewhere, and in walking distance there was HOOTERS!, and the girls voted to go there.. what ! ? yea.. so that would mean I would go to HOOTERS with 3 girls.. lol
Anyway we had to queue up to long so decided not to go..
Grabbed one of the best pizza's ive ever had on the way back, going to remember that place.
So it was a nice day at the races !
